Ladies: IUD

Hi all. Sleeved 2 months ago & I have had my period pretty much every day since. It's insanity! When can I expect this to regulate? Friends are suggesting I get an IUD. Who has one please & any feedback would be really appreciated. Thank you

I have an IUD but it is copper and doesn't have hormones. My periods were irregular for a while but they have balanced out (I hope)as my weight loss has slowed. I have never had irregular periods and any kind of lady problems so it has been pretty annoying.

I would probably just let my body run its course because getting a hormonal IUD is just adding more hormones to a body flooded with hormones, but just call your Gyno and make an appointment. They are going to give you the best advice, not us and not your friends.

2 years ago I got the mirena IUD and sadly bled/spotted non stop for the first 3 months. After my surgery my cycle was for 3 weeks (I started the day of my surgery). At 3 months out I was regulated again. I'm 5 months out now and it's like clock work with no issues.

I have had Mirena for over 9 years (I'm on my 2nd one). I love it. 2-3 periods total in those 9 years (and those were just light spotting), and decreased migraines. Not everyone has a good experience with it, and I can't say the insertion and removal/insertion were any fun. But I have found it to be WELL worth it.

I have a merena IUD and it's the second time I have had one. I bled for the first 4 months both times. Now I get a period once a month. The first time they went away all together. I think everyone's body reacts different.

I have mirena. This is my third one. I didn't bleed at all with the first one and had light spotting with 2nd and current one. Have a new one seated hurts like hell but still worth it
