8 Days Post Op

Okay, why did I think hunger pains would be taken away with old stomach lol. I am 2nd week of modified liquid diet very little to no Protein until next week. I broke down and ate a lite cheese stick could not take it anymore. This is my first solid food. Anyway waiting to see how my pouch reacts. Staying hydrated really thought that would be harder. Think I am going to add Protein powder to modified liquids just so I can stick to the 1/4 cup meal size. Yes, I was ready for the lifestyle change but our surgeon does not promote us drinking Protein shakes. As we all know without protein nothing really sticks. See him on the 21st suppose to be advanced to soft food stage. 13lbs down since 6/8 all together 50lbs! Happy weekend!

Going that long without protein shakes is harsh and unhealthy (in my opinion). You need protein to heal and function!
