I am three weeks post op and have felt awesome this whole time except for last night and today. I have had diarrhea and nausea like no other. I'm running to the bathroom like every 15-20 minutes and Water is making me nauseous. Also some abdominal cramping. Has anyone had anything similar? What ended up happening?

With any concerning pain, it is always best to call your bariatric team. They know you better than any one.

If it is after hours, please call the "physician on call". She/he will be able to guide you better than any of us.

PLEASE call, feel better and come back and post to let us know that you are "on the mend".

Prayers for your feeling better going up.

I called and he said if I'm not better by tomorrow to go ahead and go to the hospital. Whatever this is it's awful, I've only had maybe 35 oz of Fluid today and am supposed to have 96, but feel sick everytime I drink Water.

I had horrible diarrhea at about 6 weeks post op...my Dr put me on a couple stomach medicines that worked well but then I got horrible constipation! She then suggested a Probiotic and that has done wonders for me [emoji3] ...Good luck!

I'm just so worried that I am going to get too dehydrated. I am in the bathroom every 5-10 minutes with BAD issues lol. I feel so awful.

Water in, Water out. Once you start eating more solid food, it will stop. Just drink all you can so you are replenishing.

I had similar issues....turns out the sugar alcohol in the Calcium supplements were causing it. I believe it was called maltitol. Any sweetener that ends in 'tol' can disagree with some of us.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
