Don't beat yourself up about its something to get use to and quite challenging. Remain focused on the "BIG" prize, take it one day at a time, and aim to do better each day[emoji4]

  • I'm new to this. I think every surgeon should request every candidate to watch a video of someone having the surgery to get a better understanding of how serious this is. It baffles me how some people

  • Mine did, thankfully. It scared me enough to be extremely careful post-op. i stayed on nothing but Protein shakes the first 4 weeks post-op due to fear of my healing stomach. By then......my fee

I totally understand where you are at...my surgery was on May 31st and my surgeon has me on full liquid for 4 weeks! I dont know how I am going to make it 3 more weeks without any chewing. And the broth and Protein shakes are just about as unappetizing as anything I can imagine. I called my surgeon today to ask about maybe very soft scrambled eggs or tuna and they said absolutely not. I am not sure how I am going to make it. I think that what you did is totally understandable and I doubt it will have any negative affects on you. I would say try not to, but so many surgeons approve soft foods after only 2 weeks, so it cant be that bad. Just cautious... and really try to follow what you can of the full liquid.
