I sound like a bath tub!

Hey everyone, I'm new to this and this is my first post so hey y'all! I was sleeved on 05/10 and make one week tomorrow! I'm still on liquids for another week and then can start my puréed foods. Though, when I drink my Protein shakes or anything besides Water really I get this weird gurgling sound... Something I can only relate as to the sound a bath tub makes when it's emptying haha. Does anyone else experience this? Is this normal? And will it ever go away? It's kind of uncomfortable when I know I'm getting full but other than that it's annoying!! Again thank you for everyone who answers because I'm just a young girl trying to find answers!

14 months out and my throat and stomach still gurgle... I just assume it's each part of me thanking me for the food/drink that I've just given them... Or they're simply reminding me that they exist.

Take it from someone not so young and who is still looking for answers. I still hear noises from "Sleevy" and I'm almost 5yrs out. It's OK , though. We've become great friends and I miss him when

I experience that too. I make gurgling noises usually because I drank too much Water. I'm 8 months out. I try to slow my roll to avoid it but it still happens

I think the gurgling is normal, thankfully I have had a minimum of that.

welcome to the club!

I still hear noises from "Sleevy" and I'm almost 5yrs out. It's OK , though. We've become great friends and I miss him when I don't hear from him in a while.

Though, maybe it's just the voices in my head.....mmmm....something to ponder.

I did hear that Charles Manson has gotten so old that he now wears hearing aides in order to hear the voices in his head. (just a wee bit of old people humor--sorry) :)

The noise you hear is perfectly normal--especially early out. Your new tummy and the rest of you have to get reacquainted. It will take months before you are fully healed. Be patient. You are fine--really.

Welcome to the "other side". :)

No gulping :) slow slips until you get a hang of how your sleeve wants liquids sent down.. I still sometimes sound like a bath tub (love that reference).. but usually when that happens its because I have drunk something to fast.. also super cold liquids do it to me as well... usually after a few blop blops gurgles I then burp and all is well.

I sound like that after I eat too fast, often accompanied with hiccups.

Initially, I started this bath-tub sound (love the analogy), soon post surgery, accompanied with little burps as well.

Stomach is still healing, healing soon post op, and healing further down the track.

Reading posts from members, some have it years down the track ....

This may/may not happen to me .... however I am not holding my breath.

Time will tell .....

I guess this is normal, because like the others have mentioned it happens to me too! I don't notice it during the day unless my environment is super quiet and I'm not moving around. Yet, at night when I lay down to go to sleep is when I hear it. My husband finds it hysterical, luckily. I wonder how much longer he'll think that way. ;) I am almost a month post op and it seems to have gotten louder since I've been on soft foods, and yes, @rocketmomof5... it does come out one way or another! :D:P

My sleeved likes to be heard.....at the most awkward times. Ugh.
