@@Angelica90 Usually, you fill out a few questionnaires regarding your eating habits and mental health. It is very important to be honest - don't try to guess what the "right" answer is - they are trying to make sure you are a good candidate (and could benefit from one surgery over the other), that you are ready to make the lifestyle changes required and that you will not have potential issues post-op. You will meet with the psychiatrist to review some of those same questions and also you will be asked about your personal history of obesity, your previous weight loss attempts, eating habits (are you a binge eater, emotional eater, etc), your knowledge of the surgery you are having - from pre-op, actual surgery, recovery, etc. They will ask you about your support system.

Make sure you ask any questions you may have or if there is something you may need help with - this is a great opportunity to learn whatever you can to ensure you are successful - from an emotional and behavioral health perspective.
