You look wonderful! Congrats! Cute dogs too!

  • Do I count as I'm 59 and a half? If I do (I'm not waiting for an answer as I'm sure being four months away from my six ooooohhhhhh.....won't matter too much) here's a couple of pics. 9 June '15 Su

Here is my before and 6 month post-op photographs. It is interesting what 6 months can do. I was around 65 years old when I had the operation. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Operation.jpg

Just remember that it keeps getting better and better.

OK, I've got 4 months until I hit sixty but I do take your point- but pleeeeeeeeeease let me be an honorary member of this group and thread until then.

You're not in your sixties though! But you look GREAT. Keep it up, or should I say down.

Hello from Australia, I am 60 years young.

I found this website and have found it very useful in answering questions. I had gastric sleeve four years ago, and have done reasonably well - lost approx. 60kgs, and am now looking at converting to gastric bypass, still have another 20kgs to go. Sleeve has created a large amount of reflux for me, as well as some other issues.

I am going to making an appointment at a large clinic that has good backup there; bariatric specialist; GPs, dieticians. (this wasn't available when I had the sleeve).

I am physically fairly fit, do martial arts three times week, gym, walk my dog and work full time.

Has anyone converted from sleeve to bypass? How did you find it?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, now I wish that I had done the bypass in the beginning. But still pleased with my progress.

Thanks

Lynda :)
