I cheated 3 x but chose a small piece of chicken breast instead of oily greasy stuff. I felt bad about it but I'm resetting myself at this point. My pre op diet was originally for 1 week but my surgery was moved to this week. Thinking positive thoughts [emoji4]Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

If you *have* to cheat, doing it with high protein/low carb is the way to go. But definitely best to fight through it.

Was it moved because you ate and your liver didn't shrink?

My surgeon doesn't require a post op liquid diet but he does require weight loss prior to surgery... This is a hard journey and long term obesity isn't easy either... Just try to remind yourself why your doing it... Don't beat yourself up.

During the brief conversation I had when I met him at the seminar, he said we will work together to figure that out when we meet. My guess would be it would be like 5- 10 % of current weight... I'm great at loosing weight, it's keeping it off that's my problem.

I wasn't required to lose a specific amount of weight obviously it depends on the doctor and their plans.

I still had to do a pre-op type diet and 24hrs before was Clear liquids until 6pm. The pre-op is NOT easy but it is done for a reason.

IMHO - the doctors have been educated and skilled in their professions. If they tell you something you should do it, for a safe surgery and hopefully an easy recovery.

Get back on track NOW and stay true~
