7 Days Post Op

I am 7 days post op and feel very emotional. I actually cried this morning. I have been laying in bed thinking about how my body has been rearranged inside. What will happen when I am older? What if I don't remember to take all those Vitamins. My anxiety is so high right now. Anyone else experience this?

I AM 5 1/2 YEARS OUT AND HAVE NO REGRETS. THE Vitamins ARE EASY, JUST ORDER FROM powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury.COM THEY HAVE A Vitamin FOR 39.95 WHERE YOU TAKE ONE A DAY. I ALSO TAKE AN Iron EACH DAY AND A B12 ONCE A WEEK. MY BLOODWORK HAS BEEN PERFECT. YOU WILL DO JUST FINE. THE ONLY MEDS I TAKE ARE THYROID MEDICINE WHICH I ALWAYS HAVE HAD TO TAKE AND OMEPRAZOLE TO PREVENT ULCERS. IT IS THE BEST THING EVER FOR ME. I HAVE NO PROBLEM MAINTAINING MY WEIGHT AND AM HAPPIER THAN I HAVE EVER BEEN ! NOT TO MENTION HOW MUCH MORE ENERGY I HAVE.

After surgery and as you begin to lose weight, you may experience more intense emotions. Your fat cells store not only fat but also chemicals and hormones. So as you dissolve these fat cells, your body may be flooded with an uptick in hormones which can throw you out of balance. Make sure you drink a lot of clean Water (not tap water) so these can be flushed through your kidneys and expelled from your body.

So glad you WLS vets chimed in! How inspiring you are.

I'm experiencing the same things at 10 days out that's why I decided to join this group for the support I can't get at home. Most Ppl don't really understand.

The first two weeks were sooooo hard for me. I can relate totally to what you are going through. Please know that it does get better. For me it was just a gradual easing of anxiety. Once I felt like I was getting into a routine, it starting getting better for me too. I think that made me feel like I had some plan and control over this crazy thing going on with my body. Hang in there! It will get so much better!
