3 days post op......

Had my surgery on 24th of March. Has been very challenging, mentally and physically draining! However I notice that each day it gets better.

Any pointers?

I'm keeping track of my Fluid intake, taking my Vitamins, using breathing thingy (forgot the name) LOL.

Pre-op weight (prior to 2 week liquid diet): 298.6

Pre-op (right before surgery): 287.3

Goal Weight: 188.6

Try with some honey....decaf coffee works well and well counts as your liquids...

I couldn't stand cold things either.

Just sip all day and relax even if you have a lot of energy. The worst thing I did was over do it right after surgery.

I find that taking gas ex 4 times a day omg helps so much with the gas pain...with out it woukd suck...and at 3 days out i was still having stomach spasams...anytime anything touched my stomach it hurt

My biggest issues is feeling full and having to still drink all these liquids. I've only used the bathroom twice today and it hasn't been much. I'm getting worried

I drank 37 ounces today so far. Yesterday (2 days post op) I did horrible with fluids.

Hi. I just had a lap band removed and gastric done on the 21st. Tomorrow will be week and wow am i still sore. Since I "kinda" had two surgeries my doctor expected me to take a little longer to heal. I'm trying real hard to get the Protein in since they say it promotes healing and of course I need it. The lapband stopped working and we had to remove all the saline resulting in weight gain. So I started Gastric at the same lapband weight from 2010, ugh. My diabetes went away the day after surgery. That was amazing. Been researching full liquid recipes so i will post if i find something something really good. Glad to be here.
