The doctor called me today and said my test results were all good and I would be called back for preop stuff and testing soon. Then someone from his office called me later and said I've met all of their requirements and she will be getting everything together to go for insurance approval. My date is April 27 as long as insurance approves. What are some reasons that insurance doesn't approve? Is it normal to have a surgery date before it is even approved?

Well it all depends on your surgeon. Mine won't schedule until approved and some like you. Good luck!

My surgeon set a tentative surgery date when they submitted to insurance. They said we could reschedule if we had to appeal or anything. As long as you know all of your inusurance's requirements ahead of time and have been diligent with meeting them & documenting things, you should be good to go! Good luck!
