6 months and at a stall

Recommended Posts

It's been 6 month since my surgery and I've been at the second weight I can't seem to loose anything. It's frustrating but don't know what to do anymore. I lose 5 and gain it back, has this happen to anyone? Any info helps.

I'm 6.5 months out and I finally just broke a 5 week stall. It's bound to happen sometime. Just hang in there and keep doing what you're supposed to, and it will break. Not much else you can do, unfortunately.

I will say that even when I wasn't losing, my body shape changed a lot, and I lost inches. Maybe measure that if your weight continues to stall, just to keep your motivation up. :)

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process.

Are you:

Still following your program?

Getting in all of your Protein and Fluid every day?

Avoiding starches and added sugars?

Taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed?

Avoiding carbonation?

Not drinking and eating at the same time since you had the bypass?

Eating slowly and mindfully?

Exercising?

Have you talked to your NUT lately about your goals and to make sure you are eating enough?

Embrace the Stall!

Dr ordered blood work and said my Vitamin B 12 was high to cut back on the meat. Funny thing is I hardly eat meat I'm avoiding starches in total I have lost 55 lbs in 6 month will really 4 because 2 months I didn't loose any at all. Yes I still eat slowly and sometimes I make myself eat. I don't eat and drink at the same time either. I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced it. Thanks

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
