Hello all,

I am scheduled for surgery 5/3/16 and was hoping to find some other people scheduled in April or May to keep in touch with for mutual support.

I'm scheduled for April 25. It's taken over a year to get here and suddenly it's feeling pretty real.

April 14th Birmingham Al! Excited. Nervous. And a little scared. Such a drastic and non reversible procedure. But so very tired of being overweight and in pain daily with my back and other joints. I know it is the right thing for me. But reading some post on Facebook page about the first month and people putting things like "starting to doubt my decision" because of nausea and not being able to keep anything down and then those that say "down 5 lbs in a month" make me doubt my decision but then I read others that are so very positive and I realized that everyone is going to be different and that I have to have my own journey and it has to be for me.

Hi everyone. I am scheduled for 04-26-16. I start my liquid pre-op diet on 04-12-16. Not necessary looking forward to the pre-op diet, but I am excited about my surgery.

How's everyone in preop diet doing? Mines been rough so far. Had a migraine most of the time. I'm on day 3

I started preop diet yesterday. Mt Dr just said to do a high protein diet like Atkins. Not too bad. Premier protein shakes are good.

My surgery date is on April 11th. I am not on the 2 week liquid diet and it is SUPER hard. The protein shakes are really grossing me out so I am having a hard time getting my protein in. Any suggestions?

I'm new to this forum and a bit nervous. I'm set for surgery the 29th of April I've done my cardiac clearance sleep study and all I need is my labs and physician clearance. This will a surgery to remove my lap band and he will be doing the sleeve. I got the band in 2011 and lost 100 lbs but after having a baby, it's just not working anymore. Good luck to everykne

I am scheduled April 7 and so excited/scared/nervous! I'm on the clear liquids and trying to stay super hydrated so they don't have to overpoke me to get an IV in. I'm excited to see everyone's progress!!

SO EXCITED! I just got my surgery date today, April 25th! It seems like is has been forever; but only 4 months. Now it is just weeks away. I am having my surgery in Ft. Wayne IN. I am on a 1200 cal diet now, no liquid diet for me. I have seen there are a couple on here for the same day, so glad to have a couple buddies along the journey.
