How long after surgery...

How long after surgery did you start running/working out again. I know what my Doctor recommends but I'm just curious. I'm three weeks postop and I feel great I really want to start doing real exercise. I can't take the wait!!

@@EP8 - I waited 6 weeks before back to my pilates routine and weights but I was at the gym at 1 week on the treadmill and at 3 weeks I was on the bike and elliptical (slowly).

I feel exactly the same - I am just over 2 weeks post op and I feel great and full of energy. I am walking 4km per day but want to start going back to the gym. My doctor recommended 3 weeks so I am going back on Sunday and I will take it really easy and listen to my body! I was super active before the surgery so itching to get back!
