I will be having surgery next week for gastric sleeve. I need help finding the best tasting clear protein drink. Should I vary flavor and how much will I need for a week? And where to buy?

I liked the ProtiDiet liquid Beverage Concentrates. They gave them to me in the hospital and I used them a lot in the first few weeks. Initially, I ate them over crushed ice with a spoon. Later I was able to dilute them. Now, I add them to my Water bottle on occasion.

I also like some of the Syntrax Nectars. Fuzzy Navel is my favorite.

Some people like Isopure. I tried it but it wasn't my favorite.

Keep in mind that you can continue to use clear supplements once you advance to later stages.

I recommend trying some samples before you buy a lot. I got a sampler pack from Syntrax of their different flavors which was helpful.

My surgeon's office sold the ProtiDiet concentrates and I also order them online.

You can also check a store like GNC or The Vitamin Shoppe.

I recently began using GENEPRO after watching a "grocery haul" video on YouTube that another woman who'd had the VSG made, and I really like it thus far. If I had known about it when I was on clear I would have given it a shot. I'd used Isopure then but wasn't a fan. A tablespoon-sized serving of Genepro has 30 grams of Protein. It dissolves very well in cold liquids, and decently in warm and hot as well but you have to do a bit more stirring (with a fork, rather than a spoon, as per the instructions.) Once you're past the clear stage you can add it to yogurt, smoothies, and the like.

I liked the Syntrax Nectar flavors -- my favorites were fuzzy navel, lemon iced tea, and roadside lemonade.

If you are just on clears for a week, I might get a couple sample packs to get you through the week and then see if you want to continue with whatever you like best or switch to something else.

You can find different Syntrax Nectar variety packs just by Googling Syntrax Nectar variety pack or Syntrax Nectar sample pack.
