2 1/2 WEEKS POST-OP AND DOING GREAT! BUT HAD A QUESTION ON SCRIPTS... MY DOC. STOPPED ALL MEDS AFTER SURGERY. AND I WAS TAKING 4 DIFFERE NT ONES. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS OR HAS NOBODY HAD TO DO THIS. I SEE THE DOC. THE 31ST FOR MY 3WEEK CHECK-UP. LET ME HEAR FROM YA' :car:

I am also on several meds for depression and reflux and they even told mr to take them on the day of the surgery. I reviewed with my prescribing doc whether she thought i should stop for a while and she said no. I had to take one in liquid form and another had to be cut in half. Does your regular doc know that you are off your meds? I would check with her to see what s/he thinks befor your next visit with the surgeon.

I am bipolar, and I am on a boat load:fish2: of meds. My surgeon is fully aware, and his only concern was that the meds could be crushed. He would never take me off of my meds, as they are life saving and required so I don't get a one-way ticket to the psych ward.:sick

I don't know what kind of meds you take, but if they are important I would call your surgeon or doctor and sort it out. Maybe you can replace them with more suitable drugs or maybe it was an oversight.
