Whatever you Celebrate I hope you have a great HOLIDAY SEASON :)

In 2016 I am going to:

Get a better electronic scale - one that measures body fat.

Get a Bod Pod reading done - I was supposed to go last week to get a baseline body fat % but my mom got sick.

REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT

Be consistent with exercise

Be outside more with my nieces and nephews doing things like taking walks, biking, hiking, etc.

Do a zip line tour

Take my Vitamins and supplements EVERY DAY

Continue to attend my follow up appointments with the bariatric team

Continue to attend my monthly support group

Help my mom through the process of getting a surgery date for herself :)

That's it for now!

Wow, I had not thought of it in terms of a resolution, but I, too, will reach my goal weight in 2016. I am coming off of a one-year stall. I have slightly over 50 pounds to lose to get to my desired goal weight. I recommitted recently and I am working with someone daily. She told me that I will achieve that goal. So 2016 it is!

Love your list!

Never heard of the Bod Pod before. Think I'm gonna get it done as well!!

I use the Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart scale. It's not the most accurate at measuring body fat. Then again, I haven't found any home-based devices that are really accurate at measuring body fat. Really neat that you're helping your mom through the process.

Merry Christmas!

I got a DEXA scan (similar to bod pod) pre op and then a year post when I reached goal. I truly loved having that info and would totally recommend! It also gave me insight into how accurate my scale that gives body fat % is (good for spotting trends, but not fully accurate it's a Fitbit Aria and is about 5% off on average compared to the DEXA).

My goal is to be better about my VITAMINS!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
