Anyone's first surgery?

This will be my very first surgery and I'm worried of the experience. Anyone else is having their first one?

      It was my first surgery, too. And get this -- I was 68 years old. Had never been in the hospital before except to visit people. It was easy peasy.

    Had my 4 hour pre-admission workshop today. Next Tuesday I will have had my gallbladder and sleeve surgery, the first time I will have had surgery. I am nervous about being put to sleep, the waking up and recovery process.

    What is your pre-op diet like that you have to follow and for how long? Mine is 1 day of clear but I plan to do Sunday and Monday.

    Same as you, only 1 day prior to surgery. I should only eat protein and no carbs

    Y'all are so lucky! My surgery is also Wednesday and I have a week of liquids and then day before surgery only clear liquids. I'm basically living off protein drinks and soup broth :( it really stinks
