pain from stitch

I'm almost 3 weeks post op and I was doing wonderfully until I got a cough Tuesday night. I was up hacking all night. well, since then I've been suffering from the pain of the stitches on my left side. no amount of Tylenol or pain meds will help it. I only feel fine when I'm not moving. when will it go away?? :(

You probably pulled the stitches, but It would be a good idea to call your surgeon's office just in case.

yes I have talked with them. they are not concerned and said its probably the stitch.also went to my regular dr for my cough and she gave me medicine for bronchitis and examined my belly and said she didn't feel like any of the incision areas opened (hernia)

I had this happen and OMG it hurt. I'm so sorry you have this. It went away at one month. Just woke up one day and I had only lingering soreness, like from bruising. After that, no more problems. I asked the dr for a refill on pain meds when it happened and he gave it to me with no problems.
