I have this horrible sinus infection right now. My ear, jaw, and canal are hurting pretty bad. I had a z pack last week but I'm finished with it ans the pain is bad. I have surgery Thursday and I don't want to complicate that. Anyone have this issue?

I do not have a fever at all. No cough. No drainage of any sort. Just pretty bad headache and jaw pain. It's making me miserable. But I do t want to miss my surgery.

Call your surgeon and let them know.

I would call your surgeon and your PCP. Tell your PCP about the lingering headache and pain after you've completed your antibiotics, to make sure he doesn't want to add additional treatment. Also, you do not want to get to the hospital the day of your surgery only to be turned away. Better to let your surgeon know in advance. It's risky to undergo surgery while you have an active infection, so he'll want to make sure it's out of your system.
