Lol I heard that after surgery your digestive changes so that's probably why... It can be for awhile temporary or you are just tire of them... You should try other kinds of protein shakes and see ;) luck

My surgery yesterday was a success. I'm home already.

Try the unjury chocolate Splendor. It is fantastic!!!!
I really liked this mixed in a cup of black coffee - tasted like a mocha :D. I'm pre-op and not sure I would try this for a while after surgery though!

I will have to try to the unjury drinks too. Like Destiny_77, I like to mix the Protein drink (in my case, it's Premier Protein) with black coffee. It looks and kind of tastes like a coffee with cream. I can mix half of a vanilla Premier Protein Drink with black coffee, instead of hitting the drive- through at Dunkin Donuts, lol. I'm less than a week away from surgery and doing pretty well on the very restricted pre-op diet, with several Protein Drinks and one meal in the middle of the day (salad with chicken).

Coffee with "cream" certainly helps me to get through the morning until I get to lunch.

Good luck to all!!

Its rough. Had my surgery on monday. Came home yesterday. Finally slept. Every 2 hours up to the bathroom. But so far, the gas pain and or muscle spasm is the worst. And one of my incisions hurts so bad whether i move or try to get out of bed or walk. I'm surviving. But nothing i read or saw on you tube prepared me for these actual feelings.

Fat2phat--ME TOO! I love Premiere Protein and now it makes me totally gag!

Amy--I'm with you as well regarding not being prepared for the discomfort. For me. It was not being prepared for the total fatigue/lack of energy. I will say it gets better each day, but I'm now ten days out and am ready to be up for more than two hours

Oh gosh! I thought it was just me... I'm exhausted! I'm sleeping all the time when I'm supposed to be drinking water, and just when am I supposed to get protein in? I had my surgery Monday and was home Tuesday. Hopefully I'll start having some energy soon!

I'm ten days post op and I've had a resale struggle with energy but it's coming back now--a little better every day.
