Vitamins, absorbing or not?

I have been on a Multivitamin since I was 12, so a LONG time lol. I started the chewable post-op and have noticed that I no longer have that very yellow and Vitamin smelling first void. So....is my body actually absorbing all of the chewable or is it that I need more? I haven't asked the doctor yet, I thought maybe someone else has experienced this and may have some insight.

Talk to your doctor. If you body is not absorbing it likely show in your bloodwork. My guess is the body is using more of the Vitamin. With most vitamin's what your body does not use you tend to pee out.

I've noticed that everything is becoming available in a gummy or chewable form. If they are better absorbed by your body and more of them is used I would like to switch a couple of my others to chewables as well.

Speak with your doctor. Mine does not allow gummies as they are not complete.

Definitely talk to your doctor. My surgery is 12/2 and my surgeon told me to take chewables, not gummies post op. He did tell me once the stomach heals I can take Vitamins in pill form.

My original mutivitamin is just such a horse pill that even 3 weeks post-op I can't imagine choking that thing down and Flinstones and such do not have enough of several things I need.
