Hi Sleevers,

I'm now almost 10 weeks out, incredibly slow weight drop 41lbs total loss so far. I keep losing and regaining despite the fact that I eat less than 500 calories daily, exercise, get over 70g of Protein daily and about 80g of liquids. But that's not why i'm posting this.

I have a question regarding Soups. Not just liquid, but with some meat and veggies in it. Are we never allowed to consume Soup again because it's considered liquid with solids?

I was told liquids wash food out and to never drink while eating..

Interesting that your reaction to liquids is different.

I'll be having surgery in a few months.. Don't have a date yet.. So we shall see ????

Yes, which applies to sleeve and bypass and when you think about it, it only makes sense. If you have for example a 4 ounce stomach and you drink three ounces of water, that leaves one ounce of room for nutrient rich food and then your full. Water does not just run through your system, sure it does not have to be digested like food, but it don't just disapear in a matter of minutes, so it takes up room.

I am almost 4 years out and to this day, and I keep trying, I cannot eat soup without it coming back up. I think I've finally given up on soup. No matter how thick I make it, I can't keep it down ????

Try turkey chili with a mix of different brand for proteins. They have a few great recipes on YouTube

This video illustrates why we separate eating & drinking.
