got a bullet from a friend for 25 bucks, she was not using it and it has been a wonderful tool.

I have a Party Bullet...yep that same one I USED to make daquiries and margaritas in....now makes my protein shakes and pureed meals.

I have the Ninja Professional 8000 and it works well and even grinds ice well. Love it!

If you don't think you'll be using it long term, I would just buy a cheapie like the Oster smoothie maker ( I think that's what it's called). It runs for about $20 -25 at Target. I have a nutra bullet and love it, but I've had it forever. It's the original model back when they first came out. It's well loved and well used. I was in the happen of making a pre-gym Protein shake before WLS. I also use it to puree spinach and kale which I freeze into cubes and add to make shakes.

I have a very old Cuisinart food processor which works great but I also have a Ninja blender that I use daily for shakes, smoothies, etc. I have not tried pureeing things like meat in that yet but I imagine it will, even though it's not technically a food processor, just blender.
