Cymbalta

I'm having VSG and would like to know if anyone was on Cymbalta and how did you take this medicine post op? The capsule cannot be opened because it's time released.

      I was on cymbalta and my Dr said the pill was so small he didn't see an issue with my taking it in its capsule form. Show it to your doctor and ask. Good luck!

      I asked the Bariatric nurses and they said I don't have to stop taking the Cymbalta, even on surgery day. Just call the doc office and ask. Thank God!

    I take lexapro and it is a pill so it can be crushed. There are so many SSRI's you need to ask your doc to switch you to one that can be crushed, or a liquid. good luck
