@@sineadorebellion I am truly hoping you feel better soon! Hang in there????

I'm still working to increase my fluid intake up to the 64oz the nutritionist wants but it's tough. I've tried a few bites of food but it hurts and I've felt so sick afterwards that I really have no desire for it right now. I know I'll need to eventually get something in, especially once I start working out but right now I'm feeling a little down and tired still.

I am still struggling with fluids too. Warm fluids and popsicles go down easiest. I graduated to soft foods, but its a very slow process.

2 wks post-op = Getting ready to return to work! Wl after surgery 11lbs., twl 32lbs. Feeling exited!

My doc weighed me today. I've lost 16.5 kilos since consulting in august. That's 2 St 7lbs gone. Pre surgery. I'm super excited.

Well my identity is now confirmed. I am now a september sleever due to have his operation in November. The 19th to be precise. 50 days after i was originally supposed to be operated on.

Still it's all good news. How is everyone here recovering? I'd like to say i'm jealous and in some ways i am but had i been sleeved two weeks ago i'd have not been able to go surfing yesterday.

In other news weightloss to date is 50lbs. I am delighted with this. Although i think i am weighing myself too often and am gonna put the scales in a mates house so i'm not hopping on the blessed thing every other half hour.

So that's the news for now.

See you in the next update.

Good for you! Keep us all posted. I am almost 3 wks post-op and feel somewhat normal again. I am down about 33lbs and my incisions are just fine lines on my tummy now.

BTW, when I read your posts, my mind hears you with a brogue.... lol

Hello Desmond. Thats great news that your surgery is re-scheduled. I hope it is a go for you this time. I had my surgery on September 24. I am doing great! Down 32 pounds. I have had no problems at all to date. I took one week off work after surgery but didn't need to.I am having no trouble getting water in or protein. As far as hunger, I do not feel any but I do 5 or 6 mini meals each day. That being said it is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and when I saw some of the items being served up. My head hunger thought it would be nice to taste..but I am happy to say I walked away! Great job Rileysmom22 on your weight loss!????

Hi Des, That is wonderful news! Wow, 50lbs! Without being sleeved is amazing! Congratulations! Your new surgery date is the day after my birthday, it will be awesome, can't wait! ;)

This is my 4th wk post op things are good, I have don't had any of the issues I've read about (Thank God), vomiting, white foam, etc. I have no complaints. I haven't lost much in the last week, but I have lost a lot of inches. I'm actually wearing size 14 pants, wow! That's 2 1/2 size smaller than when I first started. :D

Way to go on your weight loss ladies!

I went back to work this week and I am doing well. I am getting in iver 60 oz of water and 60-80 g of protein every day at this point. I go for my follow up with my surgeon 10/15 and can't wait to move on to pureed foods. He actually suggest that we chew the food to the puree. Any who, I am excited to move on.

I have already incorporated low fat cottage cheese into my diet this week. I chew it really well and think it is s healthier option for me calorie and protein wise over yogurt. I can't find yogurt that I like without all the extras that I don't need and I love the cottage cheese plain.

What's on your plates? ( or cups?)

Hi mykdzmom. Glad to hear you are doing well! Great news.

I am on pureed/soft foods.protein intake between 40 and 50 grams per day. So far I am tolerating everything very well.:)

I eat canned chicken, turkey or salmon. 2 ounces per meal.Hard boiled eggs 1 per meal. Low fat cottage cheese 2 ounces per sitting. Strained cream soups with unflavored protein powder 2 ounces per meal. I also have premier protein rtd shakes. I add a couple of teaspoons of pureed beets or carrots to each of my meals too.I am getting in between 50 and 69 ounces of water each day too.And of course my vitamins! Keep up the good work!

Oh and I just discovered light babybel cheese. Only 50 calories and 6 grams of protein!

Be Do Have that sounds great! I am at 14 days today and will start my transition to puree. Yay!!

Love the baby bell idea and I plan to try laughing cow as well.

I am concerned because if I eat yogurt or cottage cheese I can eat 4 oz without an issue. I hope that is not a problem for me. :(

Keep up the good work! :)
