Well I found out yesterday I was approved but I was also told before my pre-op visit will be scheduled I would have to wait on medical clearance, what does that mean?

@@mafe I'm having the sleeve...I'm not sure what else they want me to do because I was told all I needed was the visits with the nutritionist, psychologist, and my education class. I already had my supervised diet. Confused, guess I'll find out more once the lady calls me. I hope I don't have more stuff to do.????

Didn't your doctor give you step by step " what to do next" instructions? I was approved and for example....going for endoscopy Thursday, EKG Thursday, set up meeting with nutritionist...etc..etc...

@@abby no I was told once the medical clearance is complete at that time I will be scheduled for a pre op with the doctor I'm sure then that's when I'll be told all the following.

Congratulations on your approval! My final clearance consisted of the psychological evaluation, internist clearance, and the surgical consult. Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks all I found that medical clearance basically comes from your primary care doctor(which they may have some requirements) before they actual sign the authorization. I have my apt next week which I was told I need blood work and a urine sample. So hoping there is nothing additional once I get to my apt.
