So close now

Alright going to finally put a thread up. I am scheduled to have surgery on August 6 with Dr. Ortiz and OCC. Have been reading these forums since I made the decision on June 29. So much great information. I started at my heaviest of 289 on June 15, 2015. Thats when it pushed me over the edge to do something finally. I started doing very low carb as of July 1 and lost 18 lbs, then on the 26th I started my pre-op three shakes and 2 cups of greens a day and have lost another 7 lbs. So 25 down so far. Not hungry, just have heartburn every evening even with Zantac. I have sat with my 5 kids and asked if they had any questions or worries about my surgery and they all just said they want me to be happy and healthy. My husband is my greatest supporter. The irony is my mother. Usually my number one supporter, well not in this she thinks that Iam going to die and they are going to chop me up. (Its a Mexico thing I think) Anyways she is still coming as my support person but she is standoffish with me. I don't think she understands me because she is not fat. But enough of that. I am so excited and super nervous my dreams are all whack, I wake up and go WTF?? Hope to keep seeing lots of awesome posts, they answer all my questions without me having to post one myself.

Chop you up...funny but I know you are serious. My mum is 85 & is a worrier. I think it's catching coz now I worry about worrying her & her getting sick. But we have to live our lives. Good luck on your surgery!

How did you settle on OCC?

Keep up the good work, you are already on the road to success! Best of luck on the 6th and with your journey!
