When will I learn to eat slower?!

Ugh!! I hate this feeling. Seriously didn't realize I ate too fast but I would give anything to back up several bites. How can I learn this better? (You would think this miserable feeling would be enough to slow me down each time but no!!!) Any tips?

There is an iPhone app called "eat slower" and it is basically a timer telling you when to take the next bite.

I was told to try putting the fork down after every bite. Then chew, chew, chew. And then pick the fork back up after swallowing.

Take 3 deep breaths between each bite. I use a timer and take a bite every 90 seconds. When I don't I get miserably bloated.
