Bariatric Card?

Hi guys,

I am always seeing in tweeter that one can get a card from surgeon so that we can order from the children's menu.

What is this all about?!

My surgeon didn't give me one...

My NUT is the person providing me with the card that says I had recent WLS and should be allowed to order off a kids menu, as well as a senior menu.

Interesting... I order from the children's menu all the time & I've never once been questioned about it. Either that, or an appetizer works well too.

It's just a card that states you have had WLS and to please allow you to order off kids menu. It also states on the reverse side that you are not to receive an NG tube unless it is scoped. It should be kept in your wallet for emergencies.

Not all restaurants honor the card though, it's up to their discretion.

I got a card when I was banded but honestly 99% of what is on the kids menu is CRAP! Chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, pizza... the portions are smaller but the options are not what you need. I get a healthy appetizer and eat half of it. Same price, same size, but healthier options.
