A new life journey...

Hi everyone, I'm excited to be a part of this forum and am thrilled there is such a thing! I'm 53 years old and have been dieting my whole life it seems. I weigh 240lbs and I am 5'5". I have a gastric sleeve surgery scheduled for July 10th and am excited and scared to death at the same time. My doctor is Dr. Keith Boone of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates in Fresno, California. I have confidence in him and I hope to goodness my surgery goes as planned (laparoscopic). I look forward to posting and reading all of your posts regarding your journeys.

Welcome to the forum, Karen! I was just sleeved on 6/10 so I am pretty new to everything as well!

Excited and scared is the norm, I think. I felt the exact same way!

So far things are going pretty well!

Hope you enjoy the information you find here and best wishes to you on your journey!
