July 1st is the day!

My surgery is July 1st and I am 4 days into the pre-op diet. It is not as bad as I thought (although I would have to talk myself out of stabbing a birtch for a tater tot). The worst part is the no caffeine, I am a plain iced tea girl. I am so lethargic. Any ideas what I can do or do I just power through?

Good luck Holly, my surgery date is July 2nd and I am 3 days into the nasty Protein only diet, I can't wait till tomorrow I actually get a med salad with ground grown veggies YAY!!. Let me know how your surgery goes we can be banded friends together, I am also getting the plication, They say it is easier to lose weight I sure hope so. I miss my diet pepsi's really bad, but will just plow through.

Sandy they do in Texarkana TX. I think they may be the only Dr.'s that do. And I really searched for some that was close enough to me. The Dr's names are Dr.Keilin my Dr. and Dr. Hekier their website is www.noscales.com

Congratulations on your upcoming surgeries -- life-changing. For me it was about choosing myself and my healthy future, putting myself first. Turns out every one else benefits but the main thing is I am centered and happy with my new body. The pre-op diet was hardest the first few days so both if you are doing well. Great to be as healthy as possible for the surgery and for me, those pounds lost were the first ones I knew I'd never be seeing again (unlike all those diets). Best wishes!

Oh, I should say I was really happy I upped my exercise during this time. I didn't want to but I did. I just walked, a little further each time, and this gave me something to step into, literally, right after I woke up from surgery. Impress those nurses with your hall-walking! And meanwhile, for now, it will help with nervous energy and clearing out toxins.

Do they do the plication here in the U.S.?

Yes, they do. Several members on here have had it done.
