Anxious and Waitig

Hello all, my name is Linda and I live in south Florida. I am currently 342lbs and am awaiting my surgery date. I have been super busy getting all my pre-op stuff done. I am so nervous about the weight I have to lose. I need to lose at LEAST 175 to get me to a healthy BMI. I am having my surgery at Cleveland Clinic with Dr Rosenthal so anyone who has experiment with him I'd appreciate your info and/or insight. I don't know anyone my size who has done this and am looking for any advice or wisdom any of you have to offer. I am hoping this board will offer me the support, understanding, and kindness I am looking for.

I am a new sleever just had my surgery on May 28th. I wish you all the best and be sure to just stick with the plan and do not I repeat do not deviate as you will feel a million times worse than anything you have ever felt. Everything gets better in time and do not buy a scale. I wish you all the best, and a speedy recovery.

Hello and welcome Linda. My name is Cindy and I had sleeve surgery May 15th. When I started the journey I was 331 pounds in January of 2015. I started eating higher Protein and lower carb in anticipation of the surgery and weighed 286 on surgery day. I am now 271...a total loss of 60 pounds. I still have more to go but for the first time in my life I think I've got this. Message me if you wish to talk.

Welcome to the group. I think that for many of us this is a learning experience where we are often on our own, not knowing anyone who has gone through the process. You'll find lots of good info and encouragement here.
