When will the gas end?

I had surgery Friday. I am doing great, not much pain but oh geez the gas and noises my stomach is making is driving me insane! I can't pass enough to make it shut up. Thank God is doesn't hurt. Any idea how long this will last????

As I recall it lasted about a week for me before it started decreasing. I got some Gas-ex to help with it. Even Water caused movement and gurgling  ...but it does pass! Are you out walking? Walking will help too. How is everything else going?

walking is the best way to get comfortable but I am still dealing with gas and its been 6 weeks.

I had that for the first month or so. Sorry... probably not what you want to hear, but know that it is normal and will go away. Walking helped, and so did massaging my stomach area. Feel better soon :)

Well, what can I say, my new tummy makes noise anytime I eat or drink something and I'm 7 months out from surgery. The noises have not been gas in my case. My surgeon said these sounds are normal. I just take it in stride and should anyone be around me when it happens, I just explain that it is my new, smaller tummy giving the concert.Yes, it's embarrasing at times, humorous at other times. Check out the information in the link below. And, as always, you can check with your surgeon.

I had a LOT of gurgling and burping even when I would just take a tiny sip of water in the beginning. I would say that lasted about 2 weeks. I think it had to do with the swelling and once the swelling had gone down, it got much better.

lol, I have some bad news for you. 4 months out and my stomach makes noise all the time! I have a friend who is going to Celebrate his 2 year mark in July. I heard his stomach at a bar over the music!

It's just air bubbles moving through the digestive track. We'll live. Hell my wife and I snicker about it all the time.
