Chelleshocked: I'm so happy u are get ur fluids in!!!! It didn't happen right away for me but as the days go by I do notice that I am able to take a few extra sips...

Nancy w: that pain in your throat will go away soon... I had that feeling right after surgery/recovery then it went away a few hours later... Just keep sipping....so glad to hear you are doing well post as well!!!!

My incisions feel fine what is bothering me is my throat from the tube. It feels better when I suck on ice pops. No problems getting in my protein and water. Went to the grocery store today with my parents and it felt great to get out and walk around. Walking around my neighborhood okay. 6 pounds down since surgery. I can't wait to go on full fluids on Wednesday. I am going back to work on the 6th, I am actually looking forward to it.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone!!! Day 1-4 has not been the greatest for me but I'm feeling much better today.... Been able to sip water, protein shakes, and tea.... I find that sipping ginger and peppermint tea has been helping my horrific gas pain situation tremendously along with walking of course... I'm on Tylenol with codeine for pain every 4 hours for pain and it works well...so glad to hear everyone is ok post op!!!

What do you put inn your tea to sweeten it up. I bought stevia but its awful...

Hello everyone! My first post op appt is tomorrow and I should be cleared for full liquids. I can not wait!

Hiccups and sneezes are killer! I have to hold my side.

Hope everyone is doing well :)

@ kiks: I no exactly how u feel but don't be too upset!!!! A loss is better than none!!! Be proud of yourself and no that this just the beginning... You will see some good results pretty soon in the coming weeks..congrats on your lost!!!! I'm super excited for u!!!!

Just checking in to see how my fellow June 24thers are doing. I have had a little soreness for the last few days, but today I woke up and feel completely normal. I even woke sleeping on my stomach. Weight loss is happening too! Hope everyone is feeling good going into the weekend!

Hi, I'm glad your feeling better. I feel great today but a couple days ago I passed out because I had been unable to get enough liquid and protein in. Now I am able to and I am feeling great. I only took a pain pill the night I came home on the 25th other than that just tolerable pain.

I'm doing great. I had my 1 week follow up with my surgeon. I'm getting in plenty of liquids and got moved to full liquids, so no more clear protein drinks. Now I'm having the creamy ones, which makes me much happier.

Just a tiny bit of soreness of incisions (mainly the underneath sutures of the muscles), but no real pain since last week. I have energy, and I'm thrilled with this decision. I'm glad to hear you guys are doing well! Keep it up!

Hey everyone!!!! How are we feeling 2 weeks post op???? How are we doing with full liquids, constipation, exercise( walking) etc....

Everything good here! I have moved on to mashed/ puréed foods, have lost 30 lb, and feel pretty normal. This whole thing has been easy... Though, I think I am starting to feel hunger. Wasn't expecting that, at least not yet.

Hey polar gonna try mashed today.... I've been good lost about 30 lbs as well... But it looks like things are starting to slow down now so I'm only gonna weigh my self once a week.... Gonna increase my walking time as well and see if that helps......

I've lost almost 30 since the start of my preop diet 1month ago), about 10 since surgery. Started mashed foods yesterday with a scrambled egg and it didn't go well (vomited). Tilapia went better last night, but I can only eat about an ounce of solids. No other issues here!

Actually, I guess it's 14 since surgery. Mental math at 0700---not my strong suit!
