Hi everyone, I had mine June 17th, so now I am 9 days into my new life ????

How is everyone doing? I got my sleeve yesterday at 7:30am, was walking around and using the restroom by 2pm. They indicated that I am doing really well, so they took me off the pain pump this morning and started me on oral painkillers. They also let me compress the dietary plan, so I am on clear liquids for breakfast, but will get full liquids for lunch. They are also talking about releasing me a day early (go home today) if I want!

Wow sounds like numbe 24th was a really good day to get sleeved.. So happy to hear you doing well..congratulation

Yea, I am feeling pretty lucky so far. My wife is scheduled for the sleeve in 3 weeks, and a friend of hers a week after that. So, I am the guinea pig. Hopefully it stays easy to keep them encouraged.

Iv out headed home. Yay... Will start on my isopure drinks soon as i get home so i can get some protein in...

Hi Polar, how to feeling day 2 post op. Did you go home yet. Hope you being a motivation for your wife to have hers.

Yep, I am home. Not feeling too bad! I am getting in liquids ( feels so strange! Like it is sliding down a tube full of air) and full liquids (yea for yogurt!). Pain is manageable. How are you doing?

Am doing really well. I went out for a walk this mornin. Trying to get my fluidd in. So far it seems to be going really well.

Hey guys! I had my surgery yesterday about 6:00p and was up and walking by 1am. I peed a huge amount by 3 am which nurses were very pleased about. I was with two other patients over night and i was the only one up and walking and peeing. They had to put a catheter in them, luckily i was up and going. Pain was tolerable, most difficult part was getting in and out if bed. Starting today about noon i've had bad cramping and gas pains. They said it's normal. And Today at 5:00 i was released! I found out post op that i had a very small hernia that the doctor corrected during surgery so i'm wondering if thats why i'm having such bad cramps and gas pains. I was the only one up and walking hoping to relieve the gas pains but i have it bad on my right shoulder and bottom of my belly. I almost have a burning sensation under my belly when im getting in and out of bed, anyone hear or read about this? Is this normal? Im on clear liquids for the rest of the week and after one week follow up i'll be approved for full liquids. And another week after i'll move onto mushy foods. My doctor was only concerned about dehydration. We had to finish a whole G2 and bottle of water verrry slowly to be discharged with vitals being checked all day long. I got 3/4 down the g2 and most of the water. Its not that i feel full but the gas pains make it hard to swallow and my throat is sore from the tubes and endoscopy. Anyway, im reallly hoping im able to burp all this out within the next couple days. Again, its not unbearable its just uncomfortable. How's everyone else feeling? :)

Hmm. No burning or anything here. I am just feeling bloated and very much NOT hungry...though, cravings are still there. Walked past a street taco vendor at the Farmer's market today...smelled so good! But I don't feel like I can fit in anything beyond my clear liquids and occasional full liquids/puddings etc.

Has anyone had a problem having a bowel movement? I don't feel constipated but i have not had one since the surgery.

my surgery was the 24th and I have not either. Also do not feel constipated. I assume it's because of the clear liquid diet.

Nothing here yet either. Perhaps it is normal? How much liquids etc you all getting in. I am worried that I am able to get too much...48 oz of clear, no problem. 2.5 oz stage 1 baby food, no problem. Premier protein shake, no problem. Was intending to sip one while playing my video game yesterday and didn't even realize that I had finished it in about an hour.

I am really having to pace my clear liquids. More than an ounce every 15 mins and I am in pain and feel like a lump is stuck.

I tried to do a sf Popsicle last night-was in pain for 30 mins. Gonna stick to warm clear liquids with my unflavored Protein mixed in.

I am so ready to advance to full liquids so I can go back to my premiere Protein shakes. They tasted so much better than this clear stuff.

I had my surgery the 25th. I think I was a bit unrealistic in my expectations that I would be a bit sore but otherwise normal by postop day 1. In actuality I have had more incisional pain (particularly on the left side of my stomach) and the pain meds have made me very sleepy. Today I am just taking Tylenol as my pain has decreased. As far as a BM goes, I just started passing gas yesterday and had a small one today. I'm also learning to pace the fluids as I get more pain/nausea if I drink too fast. Trying to get all my water in, but yesterday was only 40 oz. hoping today is better!
