I'm nervous, excited, and ready.

Hi i just found out today that I was approved.. Surgery scheduled for July 27th.. Was really hoping it would be sooner but just happy to finally have a set date. I'm excited and so ready .

I'm scheduled for July 20!

I'm July 6th.. I wish it was tomorrow.. This waiting is the pits.. Just ready to get going!!

July 15th.. What a great day.. That my birthday.. I will be 1 week post op by then... CANNOT wait to see how us July sleeves do!!!

I'm getting the RNY - but yes! It seems like so far away, but I know it will come up fast.

Hey, checkmeowt, I am July 15 too! Very cool to know that someone is going through what I am and will have the procedure done the same day. It will be interesting to see how our hospital adventures compare! I am also having RNY. I am meeting with my nut on June 30, and will begin my pre-op diet on July 1. From what I understand, I will be doing a combination of shakes, bars and 1 small meal a day. They sent me a sample of each bar and shake in advance to try so that I can bring my order with me on the 30th and get my supply. Looking forward to keeping in touch! Good luck!!

I'm July 13th. ???? I start a 3 day clear liquid diet on July 10th...I have no idea how I'm going to get through that! 3 weeks feels like tomorrow and forever away.

How is everyone dealing with family and friends?

Mine are sort of supportive...they do keep saying things like, "are you sure you really need it?" And loooong angry sighs whenever it comes up - I don't even bring it up! It's stressful but I pretend it doesn't bother me. I just feel like sometimes I'm all alone in this, and others are waiting to say I told you so. Frustrating.

Whatever they feel - I know this is what I need to do. And I hope they'll see the good once my weight starts to go down.
