DVT machine ...

Did anyone else have to use a DVT after surgery? I have to wear it 24/7 the first 3 days then whenever I'm sitting for 7 days after that.

Yep, they want me to also, and I have zero risk for DVT other than the surgery. To me it will hinder me getting up and moving around which would be better than the machine!

Well glad I'm not the only one! I guess it's better than taking those blood thinner shots I don't think I'd be able to do those. When is your surgery?

DVT and pneumonia are two of the biggest risks for surgery. My surgeon requires the DVT machine and blood thinners for everyone (that I know of). We used the machine in the hospital and were given a rental unit to bring home.
