Full body aches after surgery?

Did anyone else get full body aches after their surgery? I was sleeved 4 days ago and didn't start really feeling them until the day before yesterday. It's like I did 1,000 shoulder presses and followed it up with 1,000 dumbbell curls. It hurts to lift my arms even shoulder level.

I asked one of the nurses about it, and she said that it's a side effect from certain types of general anesthesia.

I was wondering if anyone else experienced this, and if so, how long it took for the pain to go away?

  • Yup, I was achy a few days after surgery too. My arms, back and shoulders.

It's probably just a reaction from the body after having part of it taken out but it should pass in a few days.

Thanks. I just really needed to know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel with this pain. :)
