One month to Forever Changed

I am exactly one month away from my life-saving, life-changing surgery date, and I am just all over the place excited. My pre-op class is in two weeks, so I know that I will get a manual on how to prepare. However, for those that have been through the whole process and surgery, what advice would you give me?

Congrats on making a huge step!

I am set for surgery this friday and so far this is what I can share:

1- Follow what your surgeon, nutritionist, etc tell you to do. You may see some crazy things here but stick to the proven plan they have.

2- Change your eating habits not, more Protein less carbs. It will be less of a shock later.

3- Be your own advocate...ask questions.

4- Drink, drink drink!

You can do this and everyone here is so supportive and excited for you!

Thank you, Shrinking Peach! I send you nothing but well wishes as you prepare for surgery. I definitely have had to be my own advocate in this process.
