My Surgery is on Thursday!

Thursday!! Today is Sunday. OMG! It has been a long, hard road with many hoops to jump through, and now, "suddenly", it's here! I am nearly there. I am nearly sleeved. I'm nearly having a difficult time with pain from a drain, and not able to drink a bottle of Water at one sitting. I'm nearly barely able to eat a tablespoon of greek yogurt at a sitting. My life is nearly changed for the better. One day soon I will be searching my closets for smaller clothes which I saved back from when I was smaller. I'm so excited to begin this journey to health and happiness, I am nearly able to polish my own toenails, to lace up my shoes. Nearly able to run up a flight of stairs and not be winded and keep up with my grand kids. It's Sunday...I'm nearly there!

@@erose321 @@Joz31 We're on our way!! Kristy..see you there!! I wonder if we'll be in recovery at the same time.

I'm not headed in until 11, surgery at 12. Prayers going up!

Good luck today ladies!! Wishing all of you a speedy recovery! Check back in and let us know how you're doing!!

Praying all the ladies had a great surgery day! :-)

Best wishes and prayers to all who had their sleeves today. Just 12 more days for me.

Thinking about you who were sleeved today. Hope all went well. 3 more days and then it will be my day!

It's was a long day. Spent a little more time than expected in recovery bc of my O2 stats post op. (4hrs vs 1), at first the pain was NOT BEARABLE, and I have a pretty decent pain tolerance but then again...no morphine drip here. A dose a dilauldid (sp?), before I woke up and liquid hydro. My gas is still stuck in my abdomen, can't walk very well yet for the pain but my stats are good. I slept on and off throughout the day so I'm wide awake now grrr

@@wannaBthinsoon @@FlabbyNat and anyone else I missed how are you feeling?

Oh hey just an FYI a wonderful non traditional was to treat my nausea that my recovery nurse did, was put an alcohol pad on my nose, so as i could sniff it! Worked wonders!!!

Wow!what a full painful day you had. Because my mom went thru it,I kinda knew it was very painful. But keep your chin up,your past the surgery part. Ask them for gasx for stomach

I started taking my gas x strips today and that helped alot. I had my leak test and everything was great so I'm home now. I've got my liquid pain meds here and I'm gonna take a nap before my kiddies get home. Oh and I walked a good bit today, and I've been up and about the house so in hoping to move that gas but it's still in my belly not my shoulders [i know how to better deal with that pain]

@@erose321 Sounds like you are doing well! My surgery was April 7th. I'm doing well but still quite fatigued. Take your time with EVERYTHING. You will figure out what works and is best for you. :-)
