I had a lot of swelling in my stomach and esophagus post-op that made it very difficult to even drink for the first couple of weeks. No matter how small a sip I took, I would have this whole process of constriction, gurgling, and burping that was SO uncomfortable. The good news is, it got better and better as the swelling went down and I was able to drink much more easily a few weeks out.

Very small sips and bite.. chew it up well.. even greek yogurt. I let it melt in my mouth sort of, first.

You can also thin out yogurt with milk or by blending in a nutra bullet. However if you are not feeling ready to progress to the next food stage, let your nutritionist know. There's no need to move forward until you are ready if it's going to cause you pain & discomfort.

Thanks for the replys, today i manged to eat a little more than yest, had a small pot of low fat custard, fluids inbetween and half tin of soup for tea, which went down a treat! Was looking forward to something with some taste

I really liked egg drop soup.. I felt like I was getting a little more and the taste was so good. Its super easy to make also.
