April 15th is this week [emoji41]. Congratulations!

I had my surgery on April 9th and came home on the 11th. The most painful part for me has been the gas pains up my left shoulder. Each day it subsides a little bit but is still quite painful at times. Otherwise everything has been pretty good. I've had some reflux but that seems to get better each day as well. My advice is to get up and walk as much as possible after surgery. Good luck!

Such a relief to hear from someone who has just gone through the surgery and is doing well!!! I hope you have continued relief for on those terrible gas pains!! I had that when I had my hysterectomy and they are so very painful!! Good luck in your journey! I'm scared and excited for the new chapter of my life to begin!!????

I agree! Thank you @@sportsmama13 for checking in, and giving us a first hand account.

Does the pain medication help with the gas pain? When I had my gallbladder out a few years ago, I don't recall the gas pain. Then again, the are two different surgeries for different lengths of time [emoji3]

My pre-op is the 20th and surgery is the 30th. Im so ready.

Congrats, I also am scheduled for the 28th and started my liquid diet on the 14th which is kicking my behind, but I'm sticking to it thus far ????
