I never thought it was going to happen but it did! I'm almost 6 months post op and today I hit 199. Haven't seen it in over 15 years. I'm down 87 lbs. as of today. This surgery was the best thing I could have done for myself. I have been frustrated lately because the loss has been slow. I've been continuing to do what I'm supposed to and I guess it's working. My goal is 160 so 39 more lbs!

you sound so surprised

I always knew you could do it!!! :)

wonderful milestone!!!!

the weight loss tends to slow down as you are approaching goal

(you have less weight to loose,)

might take a little longer for scale to go down :(

keep tabs on your measurements - they might go down :)

"God Grant Me Patience Just Hurry Up About It"!!! ;)

have you filled out a change of address card at the Post Office?

onederland USA ;)

(or whatever country :) )

87 lbs gone!!

(don't look at me, I didn't take them!! )

keep up the great job :)

kathy

congrats

Ha! That's the way to do it! I bet that's a big change from how you would have celebrated pre-op!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
