When can I have soup?

At what stages were you allowed Soup. I'm still on the liquid stage so I can only consume broth. But when we you allowed to just fully eat soup with the veggies, meat and all?

The cafeteria at my job make different types of yummy Soups. I currently just take the broth out and avoid getting food in my soup. But I can't wait to just eat the whole soup.

I would say whenever your doctor told you that regular foods were allowed.

I was allowed strained cream soups during my "full liquid" phase. As for eating the "chunks" in soup, I would assume it's whenever you are allowed to eat those items. So whenever you are allowed to eat cooked vegetables, then you could have soup with chunks of veggies. When you are allowed to eat soft meats, you could probably have soup with bits of chicken in it...

When I got on puree foods, I ate soups where the contents could be mashed into a puree consistency. Bean soups are particularly good for this.

When you get to the puree stage, just throw the soup in a blender or food processor. I add unflavored protein powder AFTER the cooking to get my quota in, it just makes it a thicker. Add a little milk or water to thin it out, if you need to.

I am on Day 8 and eating soups and runny mashed potatoes with a scoop of unflavored Protein powder. My plan just said advance as tolerated.

Day I I was allowed creamed soup but if you

Use a immersion blender and have no chunks you should be okay
