I was allowed 3 protein shakes a day (with specific nutritional requirements), one green salad per day with calorie-free dressing, and sugar-free jello or popsicles. I was also supposedly allowed "occasional" chicken broth or minestrone soup, but I didn't do that. That was for 15 days pre-op.

2 shakes a day plus a small mean 3-4 ounces of Protein and a 1/2- 1 cup of veggies.

I had to eat lean proteins and keep carbs less than 40g.

I was allowed clear liquids only. Sugar free jello, broth, Gatorade, sugar free Popsicles, tea and coffee.

clear liquids, fat free milk, and Protein shakes..... this isn't fun...

My doctor didn't request any diet from me except the 24 hrs before follow a clear liquid diet ...
