Sleeve surgery was yesterday, big breaths hurt but that's about it, and that may have been due to the hernia that was found on my diaphragm during surgery. Felt really sleepy the first half of the day but by the afternoon I had already cruised through the hospital halls several times. Thanks to the IVs hooked up to both arms I've been peeing like a race horse.
Day two: Feeling good munching on ice. The barium swallow test was as disgusting as everyone says, the only thing I can equate it to is a really cheap vodka and rotten OJ screwdriver. Gas pains seem to be limited to my left shoulder and back. Hubby back rubs are a life saver. If you are trapped in the hospital alone I recommend kidnapping a nurse and making her rub your back. It's literally like burping a baby and feels soo good.
