Weight Gained Since Having Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I was hoping I would be one of those luckily people that never had a gain but I am three months out and I noticed this week I gained three pounds... Super bummed to say the least. I am hoping and praying it's just water weight because I've been doing five miles a day and eating well. Maybe just looking at all the sweet treats my family eats they have gotten into my stomach by osmosis, jk.

????A shout to the February sleevers ????
I am taking a chewable multivitamin that my doc recommended: Bariatric Advantage Innovations Advanced Multi EA, it's got extra iron in it and really easy to get down post surgery for me at least. In addition to that I'm taking some additional calcium chewys that are a yummy caramel flavor and then a lil biotin.

Getting Water In Tips Needed
I am about 2 weeks post op and still really struggling to drink enough Water. I had a hernia repair during my surgery and my doc said that would probably contribute to the additional slow down in drinking and eating. I feel like I am sipping all day but probably only taking in like 30 fl oz max. Any suggestions or tips to help? Thanks!

Day two
Sleeve surgery was yesterday, big breaths hurt but that's about it, and that may have been due to the hernia that was found on my diaphragm during surgery. Felt really sleepy the first half of the day but by the afternoon I had already cruised through the hospital halls several times. Thanks to the IVs hooked up to both arms I've been peeing like a race horse. Day two: Feeling good munching on ice. The barium swallow test was as disgusting as everyone says, the only thing I can equate it to is a really cheap vodka and rotten OJ screwdriver. Gas pains seem to be limited to my left shoulder and back. Hubby back rubs are a life saver. If you are trapped in the hospital alone I recommend kidnapping a nurse and making her rub your back. It's literally like burping a baby and feels soo good. ????

30 something...
I'm 30 and a mother of twin 2 year old girls. My surgery is February 11th (just 10 more days) in San Antonio w/Dr Gonzales. I work full time and don't know how my kids are going to handle not being able to crawl all over me. Doing diaper changes with a kicking a screaming kid is a daily occurrence, so wish me luck. My mother-in-law is going to spend the first 3-4 days with us helping out but then I'm on my own.

self-pay in the US.... how long did it take?
My first consultation was 1/3/15 and my surgery date is 2/11/15... Much faster than I had anticipated. Total cost $14k includes the preop costs thru one yr postop.

Counting down the minutes
I feel your pain. I'm a Feb 11th sleever too. I've already started modifying my shakes this week adding a lil decaf instant coffee in for flavor just to help get through the work day.

Bone broth
Sounds awesome Eli.... This place wouldn't happen to be in the Austin or San Antonio Texas area by chance would it?

Bone broth
That cracked me up red. Your response totally makes since that it's basically just a new marketing term... I used to make broth at home with my mom as a kid I just never heard it called bone broth or put two and two together I suppose. Thanks!

Bone broth
I've never tried it, is it gross? Because to be honest it doesn't sound too appetizing. I picked up few small bone broth cartons from my grocery store trying to prep for post surgery. I was shocked at how much protein was in them and it was nice they came in combinations like chicken and lemongrass etc.... What's your impression of these? Good, bad, gross, or just slightly overpriced broth?
