Caved in stomach from surgery

I'm now 22 days post RNY and still in quite a bit of pain where most of the work took place and where my stomach is caved in. I have seen people post about one day it will just "pop" and I will be relieved. My doctor says it's normal and to keep taking pain meds and the sutures inside will indeed actually pop and my stomach won't look caved in anymore and I won't be hurting so bad. 22 days post op and still nothing? Is there something I can do to make it pop? Did any of you all out there experience this? How long did it take for yours to pop? I really want to go back to work and exercise a lot and just live my life but this pain is holding me back. Abdominal binder makes it worse. Only my hand when walking relieves it some. Help??

Wow never even heard of this. Please keep us posted

Agree. Never heard of this.

Sounds like we are talking about the stitch used to close the abdominal wall.

Give it 3 to 4 or so weeks to pop out.

A heating pad REALLY helps with the pain in that spot.
