hungry on day 4

So I'm not as "not hungry" as I was hoping to be. I've heard stories about how people didn't feel hungry after surgery and had to remind/force themselves to eat or drink protein. When does that feeling kick in? Because I'm on day 4 post op and I'm hungry! Just as hungry as I was on day one of the pre-op diet.

@Elode Ok so there's hope for me yet? lol Maybe I'm hungry because I haven't eaten yet I guess so all I think about is food. But you're saying once I can start eating food then I won't be so hungry, right?

  • I'm 10 days out and I get hungry. My doctor puts us on the pureed and mushy diet the day after surgery. Before I left the hospital I had tuna with mayo. I can also eat yogurt, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese and a few other things. I definitely get hungry, the difference is I am satisfied after about 2 oz of food. This may sound strange, but I'm glad I still feel hunger. I want to still enjoy food, just much less food and at a healthy weight!
